Hello everyone....
How are you guys? I hope all of you are fine.
We will discuss about "Technology for Learning Speaking".
The reason many people can read and listen is because that's all they practice.
But in order to speak fluently English, you need to practice speaking. Don't
stop at the listening portion, and when you study, don't just listen. Speak out
loud material you are listening to and practice what you hear. Practice
speaking out loud for your mouth and brain can do it without any effort. By
doing so, you will be able to speak fluently English.
So, to practice our speaking skills, our teacher introduces several
websites that can help us learn speaking. We was introduced to some useful website namely Merriam Webster and YouEnglish. We also practice our pronounciation using Google voice. For our assignment, we should make a youtube video, a short conversation. In this case, I and my friend were talking about a vacation. Below is our video.
This lesson really help me in learning English. Particularly for my Speaking skill. How? First, we use a website called
Merriam Webster. This is a dictionary-based website. Through this website we
can learn pronunciation, synonym, thesaurus and others. Below is the display of
the website.
Second, we were introduced to a website called YouEnglish, very
interesting website. Through this website, we can learn intonation and the use
of a sentence or phrase context. Below is the display of the website.
Finally, by making a youtube video, I can check my pronunciation and my
body language. Youtube provide with its subtitle, so I can check my English
through the subtitle. If it is detected, It's mean it is good.
That's all from me, thank you for reading...
